Before becoming a full-time investor in 2015, Rodrigo had a strong 15 years international consulting background. He started at MGI Consultants in his last year of engineering studies, before joining KPMG (called Peat Marwick then KPMG Consulting, then BearingPoint) as a Junior Consultant where he made it to Senior Manager in less than 5 years, working first on operational efficiencies, security audits, and finally digital strategies. He then spent another year at Gemini Consulting (before its acquisition by Capgemini) in the Analysis & Design strategy team designing turnkey marketplaces for his clients. He was then hired regularly by large clients as a freelance management consultant for over a decade, in between his entrepreneurial ventures.

His experience ranges from helping design strategies for multi-billion public enterprises to helping startups scale. His work has almost always been on levering digital transformation. He has also helped dozens of companies work on fundraising more efficiently and led in-depth due diligences for private investors. He brings a unique perspective to both consulting and investing from his very diversified industry background, broad company sizes and exposure to the latest technology trends from his investment experience.

Rodrigo was early in the 1990s to work with large technology companies, taking in their innovation culture and helping them grow in their respective areas. From designing networks in pre-sales for potential clients (Novell), to deploying a solid internal knowledge management and workflow tool based on Lotus (Intel) to designing a mobile strategy for their 43 million subscribers (AOL). He even won the most sessions mentored worldwide at the Founder Institute in 2011 (mentoring and traveling for them to places such as Santiago de Chile, San Francisco, Berlin, Singapore, Brussels, Paris, etc.).

Rodrigo has worked with many media clients such as newspapers (La Dépêche du Midi - auditing the media production flow), magazines (L’Etudiant - optimizing the IT network), advertising groups (Euromedia, Publicis, OMD / Omnicom, HighCo / WPP, Havas Media Communication) working on internal digital strategies and/or for their clients.

Earlier in his career, he also spent time designing pan-european strategies for a logistics group, for a retail group, and optimizing operational efficiencies for an airline. He also helped design call-centers for a government agency to help with CRM. Finally, he has been involved in innovation seminars for a number of industrial clients.

At the beginning of his career, he designed a cybersecurity audit methodology with many clients in the banking and industrial sectors, and helped design and manage wide area computer networks.
